Manuel de Murga: Orlando 2022 concert

Manuel de Murga’s compositions have been featured on international concert programs, receiving performances by soloists and ensembles such as the Amernet String Quartet, the Core Ensemble, the Florida Orchestra (Michael Francis, conductor), guitarist Stephen Robinson, the Stetson University Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra (Anthony Hose, conductor), and flautist Nestor Torres with the Miami String Quartet.

De Murga's music has been called “…a display of intelligent and inspired invention with syncopated rhythms and a very cutting-edge structure…” ("...un despliegue de inteligente e inspirada invención con ritmos sincopados y una estructura muy de vanguardia que regala una constante sorpresa para el oyente." El Nuevo Herald). Additional impressions of de Murga's award-winning work include “upbeat and understated” (Tampa Bay Online) and “haunting and otherworldly” (Bowdoin College).

Manuel de Murga is a pianist and teaches music at Stetson University.
